Detangling Super-Teased Hair
-
All teased out and don’t know what to do?
- Worried you’ll damage your hair trying to detangle it?
- What on Earth are you going to do?
Often times during photo shoots, fashion shows or promotions, your hair will be extremely teased to get voluminous, dramatic hair styles full of hair spray, pins and sometimes contraptions to keep your hair elevated.
As you know, I have VERY long hair and the temptation is too great for hair stylists not to grab a comb and start teasing, and rightly so! We have created some of the most amazing effects with teased out hair!
There’s a specific way you should treat your hair to be sure you reduce the damage done to your hair returning it back to “normal”.
Here’s What To Do:
- Take all pins or other accessories out of your hair.
- Get in the shower and wet your hair.
- Slather your entire head with a thick, rich conditioner and let sit for a few minutes.
- Using a long-toothed pick, grab a section of hair and start from the ends gently picking out the tangles, workingΒ your way up towards the scalp.
- Start the same process with another section of hair. * Tip: Reapply conditioner if necessary.
- Once your finished detangling, use a gentle shampoo to wash hair.
- Re-condition at the end of your shower and treat it with spray in conditioner or other moisturizing treatment.
